I am a 20-year-old college student from Raleigh, NC. I currently study Film and Literature at Duke University (the actual B.A. program titles are Visual & Media Studies: Cinematic Arts and Global Cultural Studies in Literature, but that seems to be doing too much). I study this because I love stories, and I love even more that the 21st century makes storytelling all the more complicated, creative, mind-blowing, and limitless. Therefore, it’s my philosophy that a student of stories shouldn’t limit their studies to just one discipline. So, instead, I’ve studied a mix of film, games, literature, sociology, and cultural studies to focus on innovation and the development of newer, greater stories in the media production industry - an industry uniquely interdisciplinary, creative, and in need of fresh ideas. I’m curious, hard-working, and deeply interested in a career that pushes the boundaries of our current media environment and innovates for the future.
